About Nirapon

Founded in 2018, Nirapon (safe place in Bangla) is an industry-led nonprofit organization that collaborates with global brands, retailers, manufacturers, and NGOs to create and sustain a culture of workplace safety in Bangladesh factories. With a mission to provide resources, tools, and guidance through partnerships that advance worker and workplace safety, we strive to enable more than safety: We aim to support the human rights of workers, protect factories’ most valuable assets, instill confidence in global companies sourcing from Bangladesh, and drive the growth of an ethical manufacturing industry. We use education and capability-building—not enforcement—to change the hearts and minds of factory owners, managers, and workers so safety becomes an integral part of daily operations. Working closely with our 55 member companies, we deliver a Safety Management Program to Bangladesh factories that provides three interdependent services: Safety Systems, Educational Programming, and a Worker Helpline. Together, these services create the foundation for a safe workplace culture. Our vision is to create an industry where worker and workplace safety are integral parts of doing business. By enabling factories to own safety, Nirapon is helping prepare Bangladesh for a safer, more productive future.
