About NIWA

NIWA, National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research "Enhancing the benefits of New Zealand's natural resources" NIWA - with its global reputation for excellence in water and atmospheric research - is one of New Zealand's seven Crown Research Institutes, organisations tasked with carrying out scientific research for the benefit of New Zealand.
