About NOBE - Penn State Chapter

The University Park Chapter of NOBE was officially founded in 2014 and restarted in August of 2023 in the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering when the founding members realized the value of combining their technical background with the principles of economics. The group ultimately decided to set forth to provide all students with a working knowledge of both financial and technical concepts and terminologies necessary to function in a corporate business setting. Today, NOBE serves to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical disciplines by allowing students of all departments to collaborate on real-world external consulting projects in an environment that provides value-added opportunities. We challenge students to go further, and we encourage students to build personal networks and portfolios which will ultimately lead to competitive advantage when entering the workforce.
