About Non-Event

Non-Event is an experimental and new music series based in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2001, it has presented over 225 concerts by some of the most innovative artists from Boston and around the world. Over the years, we’ve partnered with wide array of organizations including ACT at MIT, Arts@MIT, Aviary Gallery, Axiom, Basstown Productions, The Boston Center for the Arts, Café Fixe, the Goethe-Institut Boston, MassArt, MIT’s Media Lab, Mobius, Mmmmaven, Modernista!, the New England Conservatory, the School at the Museum of Fine Arts, Semata Productions, Studio Soto, swissnex Boston, and the Waterworks Museum. For the past 5 years, Non-Event has collaborated closely with the Goethe-Institut Boston to curate their German electronic and experimental music series, as well as organizing monthly local artist coffee houses at Café Fixe in Brookline. The latter is presented with the support of the Brookline Commission for the Arts.
