About Nonprofit Kidney Care Alliance (NKCA)
The Nonprofit Kidney Care Alliance (NKCA) is a coalition of nonprofit kidney care providers committed to patient-centered, quality care across the spectrum of kidney disease, including dialysis care. NKCA pursues these goals by sharing best practices among members and working collaboratively to improve overall patient care. NKCA is also committed to serving as a resource to policymakers and other experts to promote policies that encourage efficient and effective care for kidney patients. Our members serve nearly 20,000 dialysis patients annually at more than 315 facilities in 32 states. NKCA members also serve more than 11,000 patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), with the goal of avoiding or delaying the onset of End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). We seek to provide the best care possible by improving patients’ quality of life, reducing the risk of kidney failure, and increasing the number of kidney disease patients who can benefit from transplant.
