Nordic Port – A Pioneer in System Support for Public Transport Nordic Port was founded in Gothenburg in 1995. Shortly thereafter, we launched our first tool for data collection and analysis – a web-based survey system. One of our first clients was Västtrafik, which used our system to build its first vehicle database. Since the services were procured, the Public Transport Operator (PTO) reported vehicle information directly to Västtrafik via our tool – and that’s how FRIDA was born. Soon, more Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) joined the platform, and the amount of information grew. In addition to vehicle data, the system began to include fuel reporting, sustainability data, and later, full contract monitoring. FRIDA Today – A Complete Solution for Public Transport Supplier Management FRIDA is a unique platform for managing procured public transport. The solution is used by PTAs in both Sweden and Norway to efficiently and transparently manage their relationships with PTOs. Everything is centered around the contracts signed with the operators – whether for general or specialized public transport services. FRIDA offers powerful features for: • Contract monitoring (management and follow-up of transport agreements) • Environmental and sustainability reporting and follow-up • Vehicle database with quality control and compliance management • Integration with real-time data The system brings all contracted PTOs together in a unified structure and enables integrations at both local and national levels – from real-time monitoring to historical analysis spanning multiple years.
