About NORFAST

NORFAST is a small South Yorkshire based engineering services company providing support and solutions to your projects. The company was set up in 2006 offering a full engineering service from, engineering drawing and CAD support (including technical documentation and CE marking), manufacturing capacity from a network of partner suppliers, all backed up by engineering project management experience for planning, tracking and reporting progress. DESIGN AND TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION Using Solid Works 2021 we offer paper to CAD, 2d and 3d design, assembly modeling, sheet metal / fabrication design, technical instructions (such as technical files for CE marking) and reverse engineering data for components. We have extensive experience in component redesign in order to reduce costs and time to manufacture. MANUFACTURING SUPPORT Since our formation we have been required to provide a full solution for manufacturing either project or breakdown and so, have developed a network of trusted suppliers with which we can offer good cost and lead times to allow us to provide manufacture of CNC and conventional components for small and large batch work, along with fabrication, sheet metal and laser cutting capacity for small to medium work. PROJECT MANAGEMENT All projects require good planning and communication which completes our service offering planning and reporting via MS project in order to track and drive progress to agreed costs and timescales allowing early escalation and understanding of any risks. We also support lean / continuous improvement programmes in order to drive waste from the business and process using the standard DMAIC tools and techniques.
