About Normandy Endurance Project Foundation
The Normandy Endurance Project Foundation was founded in 2023 by a group of dedicated professionals ranging from extreme athletes to historians. The Foundation was established to honor and commemorate our veterans and war heroes who played a significant role in the liberation of occupied France on D-Day, June 6, 1944. The Foundation’s vision is to create an athletic event that is great enough to honor the fallen, difficult enough to challenge the strength and grit of every participant, and significant enough to fill our souls with truth and purpose. The Foundation proudly presents The Endurance Challenge Normandie: swim, bike, run, and ceremoniously walk all five D-Day landing beaches. This event, spanning 100 kilometers of the Normandy coastline where Allied armies came ashore, is the first of its kind in content and scope. Piloting in the summer of 2025, participants will push their limits physically and emotionally to honor those who pushed themselves far beyond their own limits on June 6, 1944. Along the way, professional historians and storytellers will highlight the locations, stories, effects on history, and continued relevance of what happened on those renowned beaches, thus helping participants find meaning throughout their athletic experience.
