About North American Quitline Consortium

NAQC is a nonprofit membership organization committed to improving equitable access, use, and effectiveness of quitlines. With over 400 members, NAQC is recognized as a trusted convener of cross-sector partners and the leader in advancing data-driven, collaborative strategies that improve the impact of quitlines on population health. We are a proud partner to members across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Quitlines are digital and phone-based services that provide free help to people who use any form of tobacco. Quitlines offer behavior change support, referrals to community services, safe and effective medications like nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), and other personalized programs and tools. Research has shown that quitlines are highly effective in helping people who use tobacco quit. Due to their effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and ability to reach and serve populations most burdened by tobacco, quitlines are a public health best practice and success story. Quitlines are available to residents in every state and territory in the US, in Canada and Mexico, and across much of the world (https://www.who.int/campaigns/world-no-tobacco-day/2021/quitting-toolkit/toll-free-quitlines.)
