About North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation
Values: Fulfilling donor intent with the highest standards of integrity, inclusivity, gratitude, respect and accountability. The Foundation was established in 1999 and since then has worked with donors and the community to fund medical equipment, technology and programing to serve our district and region. It was through the commitment and generosity of our community and donors that our state of the art hospital became a reality in 2011. Increased demand for services and rapidly changing medical technology place enormous pressures on Hospital resources. It may surprise you that funding medical equipment is shared by the hospital, government and perhaps most importantly, our community. NBRHC provides district acute care services to North Bay and surrounding communities, an area of 30,700 square kilometres with a population of more than 129,000. In addition, NBRHC provides specialized mental health services to all of northeast Ontario, with facilities in North Bay and Sudbury. People suffering from severe and persistent mental illness throughout the region of northeast Ontario are served by NBRHC - an area of 300,000 square kilometres with a population of 511,000.
