About North Carolina Center for Automotive Research

North Carolina Center for Automotive Research, Inc. (NCCAR) is a new automotive testing facility located just of Interstate I95 (off exit 176) five miles south of the Virginia state line. The 620 campus has an additional 630 acres of commercially zoned land available for development in adjacent parcels. Currently 155 acres are developed to include a two mile road course, two acre vehicle dynamics area (VDA), 2 mile off-road course and a 24,000 SF (2,400 SM) operations building that includes six self-contained client garages suitable as business units, plus offices and four conference rooms. The entire 155 acres is supported by a high speed WiFi network and video camera coverage. Hunter alignment and tire changing / balancing equipment is available on site to users. The next stage of facility development is currently under design and scheduled to begin construction in the fall of 2011.
