NCDHHS also oversees 14 facilities: developmental centers, neuromedical treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers, and two residential programs for children. Mission: In collaboration with our partners, DHHS provides essential services to improve the health, safety and well-being of all North Carolinians.
