About North Dakota Office of Management and Budget
OMB's mission is to provide innovative leadership and support to state government. OMB's vision is to will set the standard for leadership and expertise in state government. They are: *Central Services provides procurement services for state agencies, manages vendor registry, operates a central printing and duplicating service, and manages the distribution of surplus State and Federal property to eligible entities. *Facility Management maintains the state capitol complex and grounds, provides lease negotiation and administrative services to state agencies, provides central mailroom and tour services, and plans for future growth needs. *Fiscal Management oversees the budgeting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions for state government entities, assists the Governor and his staff in developing executive budget recommendations, provides financial transparency for state and local government, and prepares a comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the state. *Human Resource Management Services provides human resource leadership and expertise through promoting consistent HR best practices, maintains the state classification system and compensation plan, manages the state's human resource information systems, provides recruitment services for state agencies, and develops and offers training to state employees to enhance their professional development. *Risk Management promotes safety and reduces loss resulting from claims by identifying and measuring risks of loss to the State and implementing appropriate measures to address those risks.
