About North San Diego County Promise
The North San Diego County Promise is a San-Diego-County-inclusive, collective-impact partnership that is united by a shared vision of all youth and adults reaching their fullest potential in college, career and life. Our intentionally collaborative, equity-focused and data-informed work empowers community members and expands success pathways. The North San Diego County Promise brings together organizations representing education, business, non-profit, government and faith-based communities, to strategically and efficiently align programs, services and resources to improve the social, emotional, academic and professional success of youth and adults throughout the North San Diego County region and beyond. The North San Diego County Promise’s collective efforts are focused on inclusionary systems change and ensuring our marginalized communities have equitable access to educational, economic and life opportunities. Operating on a foundation of trust, honesty and transparency, the members of our partnership maintain when some among us are not succeeding, none of us is really succeeding. Through the North San Diego County Promise Rugg Family Scholarship program, post-secondary-level financial support is provided each year to eligible scholars graduating from high school. From promoting Safety, Health and Well-being, improving the kindergarten readiness of young children, fostering Early Childhood Success, stimulating College and Career Readiness, increasing Post-secondary Success and Completion, championing Racial Justice, Equity and Inclusion and advancing Workforce Development, the North San Diego County Promise is committed to building a vibrant, prosperous and promising future for every member of the region’s many diverse and interconnected communities.
