About North Shore Girls Soccer Club

To provide all players with the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes fun, fair play and skill development at a level that fits their interest and availability, and to create a challenging environment for players who aspire to reach their full potential. Description North Shore Girls Soccer Club is one of the largest sports clubs of any kind in Western Canada with over 3500 players registered. We are a non-profit organization operated by an 18-member board of directors, an administrator, a bookkeeper, a general manager and professional coaches. Our home, known as The Bubble, resides at Windsor Secondary School in North Vancouver and hosts our players from aged 5+. With the addition of The Bubble in 2011, our players stay warm and dry in the winter and cool in the summer. Additional programs we offer include an Academy for youth players desiring to train at elite levels, a First Kicks program for players to earn a head start before Pee Wee, a Street Soccer program for players who are unable to join a club team or who do not want to, holiday camps, tournaments and the North Shore Indoor League that provides adults (18+) with the year-round opportunity to form small-sided teams for indoor games on weekend nights. Additionally, we provide opportunities for our mature youth and adult players to mentor younger teams, we distribute two annual scholarships to graduating Divisional players scheduled to attend a post secondary institution and organize many tournaments throughout the year for all age groups. We also provide the opportunity for players to earn volunteer hours by contributing to our publication, Touchlines. Touchlines is published 5 times annually and highlights our members’ achievements and acts as one of our communication channels.
