About North Star Learning Hub

"Education should never be one-size-fits-all." I'm Lotti, founder of North Star Learning Hub. After 16 years as a qualified teacher and leader, I decided to take a leap and do things differently. Throughout my career, I’ve seen too many children fall through the cracks — not because they lacked ability, but because they needed understanding, flexibility, and connection. My work is now rooted in these values. I set up Empowerment Education to offer private tuition tailored to children who were anxious, neurodivergent, out of school, or simply not thriving in traditional settings. What started as 1:1 support soon evolved into a community-focused service — and this is how North Star Learning Hub was born. At North Star, we specialise in: ✅ Trauma-informed, child-led learning ✅ Support for home-educating families and school-refusing children ✅ Confidence-building for children with anxiety or SEND ✅ Community-based and creative learning provision ✅ Collaboration with schools, CICs, local authorities & national networks 📚 My background includes: – NPQSL (Senior Leadership qualification) – Level 2 Counselling Skills – Training in ACEs and Children’s Mental Health – 16+ years in education across a wide range of settings I’m also a mum of two, and my own children constantly remind me of the importance of curiosity, compassion, and connection in how we educate and support others.
