About Northampton Swimming Club

Northampton Swimming Club provides opportunities for all members of the community, from learn to swim including parent and baby through to Masters swimmers. We offer early competitive opportunities through to Wolrd Champions, Paralympic Champions, European Youth Olympic Champions and European Junior Medalist, World, European, British, English, Regional and County Record holders. We have a disability learn to swim section which is very popular but also offer opportunities for swimmers to fully integrate into mainstream lessons and squads with great success. Eleanor Robinson MBE and Paralympic Gold medallist in 2016 and Maisie Summers Newton World Champion and World record holder in 2019 both swimming in the S6 classification and Zara Mullooly S10 who was a World Championship Medallist in 2019 are all very likely to qualify from Tokyo 2020 (2021) and Edward Mildred European Youth Olympic Champion 2019 has an outside chance of making the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 (2021) as one of the youngest athletes. NSC were also the top performing Club topping the medal table in 2018 The Club currently has approximately 450 swimmers in a learn to swim programme and also 250 swimmers in the club programme which includes 30 Masters swimmers and 60 swimmers in the Early competitive and development groups. The club is fully inclusive offering opportunities for all. The Club employs 4 coaches 1 lead teacher and 2 administrators. It is run by a volunteer committee and is self funded through swimmers fees, income from our teaching section and the Open Meets we run. We are a vibrant, open, professional operating organisation, run by volunteers.
