Established in 2009, and based in Latteridge, South Gloucestershire, Northen Surveying Services Ltd is an Independent, family-owned Charted Quantity Surveying Practice Regulated by the RICS. Managing director and founder Alan Northen, a chartered member of the RICS and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, brings more than 30 years of experience, knowledge and expertise to the business with a proven track record in quantity surveying consultancy. Alan is an Expert Witness and Lead Author of RICS New Rules of Measurement 2 (NRM2) second edition. Alan has a passion for sustainability and has developed and delivered training for the RICS on Whole Lifecycle Carbon Assessments. Alan oversees a skilled and talented team of 5 quantity surveyors and business support members, who all thrive on delivering a high quality, flexible, and cost effective service for clients across the UK. Northen Surveying specialises in bill production, undertaking everything from Builders Quantities to full NRM Bills. They have been fully operational with NRM2 from the outset, using it to produce client bills since February 2013. With a passion for measurement in construction, and for mitigating risk, Northen Surveying has completed projects with companies including Morgan Syndall, BAM, Sweet Projects and Stepnell, covering sectors such as residential, commercial and industrial.
