About Northern Arizona Audubon Society
The Northern Arizona Audubon Society (NAAS) has been the voice for birds in Northern Arizona since 1972. Our mission is to engage people in appreciating and protecting birds and the places they need to thrive. From the red rocks of Sedona to the peaks of Flagstaff and the lush Verde Valley, we work to conserve habitats that sustain both wildlife and people. Through education, field trips, community science, and advocacy, we connect people of all ages with the natural world. Our programs include guided bird walks, youth outreach, habitat restoration, and participation in global monitoring efforts such as Motus wildlife tracking. NAAS is a volunteer-driven nonprofit powered by the passion of our members and partners. Together, we protect biodiversity, inspire new generations of birders, and strengthen the connection between community and conservation.
