Northern Builders, Inc. was founded in 1927 by Paul Grusecki, who combined the classic American traits of hard work and enterprise to build a construction business. Under the guidance of Paul and his wife, Mary Grusecki, their sons James and Thomas have grown Northern Builders into one of the largest and most successful full-service development and construction companies in the Midwest. With clients ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 50 corporations, Northern has participated in the design, development, and construction of over 75 million square feet of office, industrial, retail space, and restaurant. As a privately-held company, Northern distinguishes itself from the competition by utilizing its in-house development expertise and construction experience to initiate creative and aggressive deal structures. Further, Northern’s full-service structure allows it to efficiently manage every aspect of a project and provide a single source of responsibility to our clients. Northern’s design-build approach encourages our clients to take an active role in the design process.
