NCSSM provides the education necessary for those who are looking to start their careers in sleep medicine. Our Accredited Sleep Technologist Program offers students didactic, hands on training in an established sleep lab. AASM accredited and BPPE approved. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) developed the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-STEP) to standardize training for those interested in the field of sleep medicine. A-STEP equips sleep technologists trainees with a strong foundation to move forward and excel as a sleep technologist. The program consists of 2 parts, the 80-hour Introductory Course and Online Self-Study Modules. The Northern California School of Sleep Medicine is an accredited provider of the 80-hour Introductory Course. Students who complete the 80-hour Introductory course and pass the 80-hour Introductory Course Final Exam have access to the Online Self-Study Modules at a discounted rate.
