About Northern Counselling & Therapeutic Services (NCTS)
Northern Counselling and Therapeutic Services (NCTS) specializes in providing mental health services to individuals, communities, businesses, organizations, schools, and governments in Canada’s North as well as in remote Indigenous communities across Canada. NCTS was founded in 2011 by a team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous clinicians realizing the need for clinically and culturally evidence-based, cost-effective and impactful mental health services to Northern and Indigenous communities in Canada, tailored to a community’s specific needs. Services include crisis response, school-based mental health support, organizational and direct community mental health support as well as training, workshops and community capacity building, including to community-based counsellors. We work with many Northern government Departments, organizations, communities and NGOs.
