About Northern Nevada Electrical Training Center

The Northern Nevada Electrical Training Center (NNETC) is administered by the Northern Nevada Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), a labor-management partnership between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 401 and the Northern Nevada Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Our shared mission is to provide electrical contractors across Northern Nevada with a highly skilled workforce, while giving IBEW Local 401 members the training and opportunities to build strong, sustainable careers. At NNETC, apprentices learn by doing. Our hands-on, technology-driven training prepares students for real-world work in the electrical trade—combining classroom instruction with paid, on-the-job experience. Students “earn while they learn,” working under the guidance of expert instructors in a state-of-the-art facility that reflects the pace and precision of the industry. We go beyond the basics. From advanced motor control labs and fire alarm systems to cutting-edge virtual learning tools, our programs are designed to equip students with both foundational knowledge and the modern skills today’s employers demand.
