About Northern Oklahoma College
Northern Oklahoma College, the State’s first public community college is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services which create life-changing experiences and develop students as effective learners and leaders within their communities in a connected, ever-changing world. The Campus Locations and Communities: NOC has three NOC campus locations, with the home campus in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. • The NOC Tonkawa campus is a beautiful small college campus, established in 1901, and it serves as the administrative center for Northern. All program oversight in academic, financial, student service, personnel, development, physical plant, and information technology is housed in Tonkawa. The city of Tonkawa has a population of 3,044, although Ponca City is 15 minutes away and has a population of 24,400. • NOC Enid location is another beautiful campus that also looks like a typical small college, with multiple buildings and extensive property. NOC purchased the college from Phillips University in 1999. Phillips first held classes at the location in 1907, prior to Oklahoma becoming a state. Enid is the 9th largest city in Oklahoma and has a population of 50,500. • NOC Stillwater first established courses in Stillwater in 2003. The current campus is all housed in the classroom building, that was completed in 2018. It is located in the middle of Oklahoma State University (https://go.okstate.edu/). NOC and OSU have a strong partnership through the Gateway Program, and students are both NOC and OSU students, many taking courses from both institutions. Stillwater has a population of 48,000 and has been called America’s Friendliest College Town. It is the 10th largest city in Oklahoma.
