About Northern Power & Light
As owner-operators of small hydro businesses in the Adirondacks, our family has been in renewable energy since the late seventies. With the roll out of New York’s Community Renewables program in 2018, we began Northern Power & Light to realize a family dream; to connect friends and neighbors across the North Country community with renewable energy made in their own back yard. We’ve always believed in an energy transition built from the ground up, and we're inspired every day to empower customers with energy choices that make a difference both locally, and globally. Today, we work with renewable energy producers both old and new, and serve a customer community comprised of universities, farm CSAs, local co-ops, libraries, churches, and of course hundreds of residential owners and renters alike.
