About Northport Golf Course

Situated on the grounds of the Northport VA Medical Center, this course has been completely rebuilt over the last few years. We pride ourselves on being the best 9 hole community golf course on Long Island. Our professional staff strives to make your experience here an enjoyable one. We look forward to welcoming you. Our free membership gives a range of golfers from parents and children, veterans, and senior citizens a great opportunity to play a pristine and well-manicured course. Northport Golf Course is also the home to Vets Out of the Rough, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which strives to helping Long Island Veterans through golf and camaraderie. Golf has proven to be a great resource for veterans experiencing service-related issues, many of which are the invisible wounds of PTSD. Northport Golf Course is in its 24th year of serving our veterans through our Vets “Out of the Rough” programs. Our 30 week program introduces golf to veterans or enhances their skills with lessons by fellow veteran mentors. Over 170 participants share camaraderie and connection with each other while enjoying golf and the dinner that follows on the deck where stories are told, and memories shared.
