About Northumberland Hospital Radio

Northumberland Hospital Radio is a regionally-based hospital broadcasting service covering the county of Northumberland and North Tyneside District. NHR currently provides a 24-hour service to Alnwick Infirmary, Blyth Community Hospital, Hexham General Hospital, North Tyneside General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital and Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital - Hospitals within Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK. In addition to hospital radio, NHR provides a long-established outside events service, providing public address, music and commentary to organisers of indoor and outdoor events. Although NHR is an independent registered charity, all volunteers are recruited through Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's Hospital Volunteer Service (HVS).
