About Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building
Welcome to the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding located in Port Hadlock, Washington. NWSWB is a vocational school accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC). Our mission is to teach and preserve boatbuilding and marine systems skills while developing the individual as a craftsperson. Founded in 1981, the school has taught more than 1,800 students boatbuilding and marine systems skills from around the world. We offer a full-time 12-month Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in Boatbuildingm, a full-time 9-month diploma program in Marine Systems, and short term 5-day Intensives in Marine Systems topics. The school is a private post-secondary vocational school and a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit. AOS degree and diploma programs are approved for federal financial aid and veterans education benefits/GI Bill for those who qualify.
