About Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre
Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre has been a community hub for children and families since 1963. Norwood responds to a wide variety of family circumstances and provides free, culturally diverse programming throughout Edmonton. We nurture trusting relationships, empower families to access resources and services, and support optimal child development by supporting parents and caregivers. Contact us for more information about our programs and services: Parent Respite Program: a free respite program in a child care setting provides temporary relief from care for parents with children birth-6 years old Head Start Program: a free school-readiness program focused on child development for children 3-5 years old. Head Start is offered in half days from Tuesday to Friday from September to June. Family Education: formal parent education groups and parent/child education groups that promote healthy child development, positive parenting strategies and healthy attachment. Home Visitation: Family Support Workers offer a strengths-based approach to positive parenting and healthy parent/child interactions, building strong families.
