About Nós Por Elas

📢 Our dream: that more and more people who menstruate find empowerment and pride in menstruation, where there used to be shame and misinformation. We are a Non-Governmental Organization, led by young women, fighting for the end of menstrual poverty, the effects of little access to information about menstruation and hygiene items. ❤️ Our goal: to build a new generation of young people aware of menstrual poverty, impacting people who menstruate, and changing the reality of our local communities through knowledge and fundraising. Also promoting workshops and lectures on female health and hygiene with a focus on education, enabling girls to find solutions to the problem, adapted to each context. The environment we seek to build is one of freedom to talk about menstruation, free of judgment, so that participants can express their doubts and thus promote menstrual learning. In addition, when providing pads, we want menstruating girls to be able to learn, without having to wonder if the next change of pads will have toilet paper, water in the sink or a place to dispose of the used material. 🌸Our impact: our actions have already impacted more than 100 communities, distributing more than 1500 hygiene kits and training girls in 20 Brazilian cities.
