Music education is very important in a child's life. However, learning to read standard music notation is difficult for many individuals and many teachers will not start are child before they are 8. The Animal Note Method by Noteimals has created a fun and easy solution to that difficult problem that can be taught by a parent or other family member, music teacher. or in the classroom setting. Each note on the grand staff takes on the caricature of a common and friendly animal with an individual story about its location on the Grand Staff. The word clues from these stories become the identifying clue to future identification of the standard music notes. The book series starts with Note Reading, then moves on to a study of basic timing for ear training, fun song books with songs children know that makes playing more fun, and ends with a "moving on" book (at this time only available for piano) that has a short song in the Animal Notes on the front of each page and the same song repeated on the back written in standard music notation. Regardless of the age, children truly enjoy beginning music with the Animal Notes, some adults too. Children as young as three can start learning, though progress will and should be show. They love it. For older children it is a "quick start" and allows them to play music at a more advance level quicker than beginning with most stand music series. Because of the "Timing Book" they develop a good ear and thus their skills in that area are week developed as they play the "the most recent pop songs. Our App is in its beginning stages, but is designed to be fun, yet educational. Now it has just a few song, but its first upgrade with offer 45 songs to be listened to and play on a functioning keyboard. In the future we will have an upgrade that will work on note reading skill, transferring the knowledge gained with the Animal Notes to a smooth use of standard music notation.
