About Nottingham Counselling Service (NCS)
We are an independent charity based in Nottingham providing universal counselling and psychological therapy support for any individual of working aged 16 and above living in Nottingham and the East Midlands. Our goal is to deliver tailored counselling and support for all regardless of background or circumstances. Founded in 1977, NCS all counselling and therapeutic services are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We are winners of several business awards for business innovation and customer service including, Nottingham Post Business Awards as a Not-for-Profit Organisation. All our counsellors are highly qualified and experienced in working with people from all walks of life. They have excellent listening skills and are trained to listen to you without judgment to help understand your current difficulties, past experiences, present anxieties and concerns about the future. When you visit one of our counsellors, they are trained to help you to make your own choices and decisions about the changes you want to make in your life. They are there to listen and support you, not to give advice or tell you how you should feel and what you should do. We are a leading EAP provider for the East Midlands and have been providing external professional support and staff counselling for over 10 years. Our services are designed to help organisations put in place the best programme of action to enable their employees to resolve personal or work-related issues that are having a negative impact on their work. We provide counselling placements, practice and experience, supervision and mentoring to support the development of the future generation of counsellors.
