About Nova Scotia Co-operative Council
NSCC is the umbrella organization representing more than 300 co-operative businesses and credit unions in the province of Nova Scotia. We're constantly helping groups and individuals take a shared passion and turn it into business - one that not only helps them to help themselves, but to grow the economy too. Our members have $5.1 billion in assets, employ 7000 workers and provide safe affordable housing for 6000 people. One in three Nova Scotians is a member of a co-op or a credit union. This year the council is marking our 60th anniversary and invite you to explore our site to learn about the history of the movement, the services we offer and the initiatives we promote.
