About Nova Surf Club

Nova Surf Club is a student club based at Nova School of Business and Economics. Founded in 2013 by a Portuguese National Surf Champion, our student-led club aims to promote surfing among students through various activities for all levels, including surf sessions, trips, days, conferences, camps, "surf with the pros" events, contests, and more. One of our proudest accomplishments is the Nova Surf Festival, the largest student surf contest in Portugal, with over 120 participants held twice a year. Located in a prime spot for surfing at Carcavelos, NSC is dedicated to introducing the sport to students and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle. With sponsors and partnerships with top surf schools, stores, board producers, and global brands, we make it easy and affordable for the whole community to get involved. Recently the club has expanded in to the nightlife events scene, organising and promoting sell-out clubbing events in Lisbon, partnering with venues and other student lead clubs to run themed events for over 600 guests.
