Nova Trust is a charitable community trust, established by Deed in 1981, for the benefit of those affected by alcohol, drugs and other life challenges. Nova Trust is also a registered charity , whose Trustees oversee the direction and management of the charity. Since 1981 Nova has been a leading New Zealand NGO and Social Enterprise making life better for those affected by alcohol, drugs and other life challenges. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users, their whanau, families and communities to change and save lives. Nova’s vision is to change life for the better; to help and support those affected by alcohol, drugs and other life challenges to change their lives and fulfil their potential. Nova’s charitable ethos is combined with sound business principles. Our rigorous approach means we are financially stable and operate efficiently to achieve a good return on investment for our service-users, customers and other stakeholders. We create added value by helping service-users achieve sustainable personal outcomes. We support peer supporters to support others. We develop social enterprises that facilitate change and help people into education, employment and productively back into society. What we do is underpinned by robust governance processes and we successfully meet quality and safety standards. Our systems guarantee the quality of our services but do not constrain the creativity and innovation of our staff.
