Novatek provides hydropowered technology solutions to make underground mining safer, more effective and profitable. We engineer, manufacture and supply innovative rockdrilling and mining machinery and complete hydropowered mining systems and have over 30 years of experience in the field. Novatek is a wholly-owned South African company and has been a market leader in the design and development of water-powered rockdrills and drilling equipment within the South African hydropowered mining industry since 1979. Our experience encompasses mainly hardrock mining in Southern Africa and the Americas in many different orebodies and mining layouts. We also have experience in coal and softrock mining, quarrying, underwater drilling and civil applications. We are able to employ a combination of oil hydraulic, water hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical technologies to suit customer requirements. Novatek work with various other specialist suppliers to provide a range of high pressure water hydraulic valves, pumps, motors and equipment. We strive to make implementation and operation of these systems as easy as possible for our customers: By providing project feasibility and design support, implementation, commissioning and training. We can deliver turnkey hydropower projects. We provide individual products to established hydropower users We provide on-site maintenance support. We believe in ongoing improvement to refine our products and services to meet our customers changing needs. The head office in Robertsham, Johannesburg houses our modern manufacturing and assembly facility as well as our engineering development division.
