About Novella Film Festival
An international short film festival based in London, in our third year. Submissions for our 2024 season are now open! We have ten diverse categories: fiction, documentary, animation, music video, experimental, POC narrative, LGBTQIA+ narrative, disability narrative, female narrative and environmental narrative. We offer cash prizes of up to £1500, as our main goal is to allow people to make more films. We want to create a space that drives creativity and inclusivity, by empowering filmmakers whose stories and communities are underrepresented on screen. We pride ourselves on the variety of our festival programme, so whether you've made a high-budget music video or a DIY doc, we want to see it!
