Since 1997, Novus Equities, LLC, of Jersey City, N.J., has been “reimagining” New Jersey’s core urban centers with in-house urban planning, development, leasing and property management initiatives. The company has been involved in the development, construction, management, and/or renovation of more than 700 market-rate and workforce housing units, as well as artist live/work and mixed-use properties, throughout Paterson, Passaic, Newark, Orange, Elizabeth, Jersey City, West New York and Irvington. Novus Equities also owns and manages the newly renovated and repositioned 40 & 50 Union Avenue Medical/Professional Office Campus, a two-building, 72,000-square-foot office center that is a fixture on Irvington’s commercial skyline. The company is widely acknowledged for its smart development efforts and community outreach. Recent honors include the Historic Commercial Building Stewardship Award, awarded annually by the Paterson Historic Preservation Commission. Novus Equities also is involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors, including serving as sponsor of the Summer Street/16th Avenue Community Garden as well as after-school and art classes for children in Paterson, N.J.
