About NQP Academy

NQP Academy is a dedicated training and support platform for newly qualified and early-career Speech and Language Therapists. We exist to bridge the gap between university learning and real-world clinical practice. Our mission is simple: to empower the next generation of SLTs with the tools, training, and confidence they need to thrive in the early years of their career – not just survive them. The transition from student to practitioner can be exciting, but it can also be incredibly daunting. Many NQPs tell us they feel underprepared, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to apply theory in the messy realities of clinical life. That’s where NQP Academy comes in. We offer a growing library of on-demand training, live webinars, downloadable resources, and ready-to-use templates that you can actually apply in your work. Topics range from session planning and evidence-based intervention to tribunal report writing, service navigation, goal-setting, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. Our content is shaped by real clinicians and rooted in what we wish we’d had when we started out. It’s warm, honest, and practical – no fluff, no jargon, no gatekeeping.
