NSE Technology founded in 2010 is a leading developer and a provider of cutting-edge engineering-based ICT solutions. NSE has developed ‘SILKROAD ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)’ solution with a purpose to apply it for the development process of safety-critical SW in nuclear, aerospace, defense, railway and medical industries. Thanks to the successful development of ‘SILKROAD ALM’ and affirmation from the market, NSE has been growing exponentially for 11 years ‘SILKROAD ALM’ is being used by major companies for multiple projects but for the most representatively, it is heavily involved with Korea Aerospace Industry’s (KAI, hereafter) KF-21 project (Jet fighter development) and Light Armed Helicopter development project. Nowadays, nearly one thousand developers from 9 different teams are utilizing SILKROAD ALM to develop safety-critical control system. Additionally, NSE secured over hundreds of customers from Defense, Aerospace, Railway, Nuclear, and IT fields. During the KF-21 project, NSE’s highly-experienced developers bridged Dassault Enovia (PLM) and ‘SILKROAD ALM’ for project participants to connect SW requirement data to the Enovia system so that the data of SW and HW can be controlled as an integrated artifact. As the project developed, practitioners found the integration very helpful and successful. It turned out that the connection of two systems improved much of the requirement management efficiency. Motivated by this success case, NSE saw substantial possibilities of higher-level integration between the two solutions.
