About NUS Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP)
Vision: A world leading centre of excellence in research, innovation, dissemination and education on the optimisation of health systems performance for population health. Mission: To contribute to improvement of health systems performance both internationally and locally through research, innovation, dissemination, and capacity building. Functions and core activities 1. Research: three complementary approaches: empirical research, evidence synthesis, and methodological research. 2. Health policy intelligence: review and synthesis of health policy impact analyses and dissemination targeting different key stakeholders (policy makers; service providers; researchers; wider public) as appropriate 3. Capacity building: formal postgraduate programme (including a PhD), fellowships, mentoring, on-the- job and ad hoc training 4. Contributing to improving the performance of the national University Health System: provision of expert advice on the development, implementation, and evaluation of flagship initiatives (including Healthier SG) aimed at making step changes in NUHS performance, and conducting evaluation where appropriate to the aims of the centre, with a particular focus on population health, and the development, implementation and evaluation of the Healthier SG initiative, but not limited to it, in close collaboration with the NUS Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Sciences Interventions (BISI).
