About Nutritional Initiative for Africa (NIFA)
Founded in 1987, NIFA is a grassroots organization dedicated to providing long-term solutions to the immediate and serious problems facing African and other developing countries worldwide. We're not a relief organization. Our emphasis is on long-term economic and social development that will lead to self-sufficiency. Our current focus area is the northern region of Uganda, where two decades of conflict with the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency has created a desperate economic situation.
