This is of increasing importance to us given the urgency of the climate crisis. In the past couple of years, we have been able to cut down our paper use by about 90% by limiting printing, going paperless with vendors and service providers, and increasing our use of e-signatures. In 2019, we also made the decision to go completely virtual, allowing employees to work from home five days a week. This cuts back on energy use, pollution from commuting back and forth, and it reduces single-use plastic consumption. NuWave donates a portion of its proceeds to Ocean Conservancy, a nonprofit that champions science-based solutions to tackle the largest ocean conservation challenges we face. The organization believes that the ocean is at the center of the most important food, energy and resource issues of our time, and we agree! Ocean Conservancy mobilizes citizen advocates to facilitate change, and it shapes the political agenda for the ocean so sound decisions are made that sustain our planet and improve lives.
