About NYC Architecture Biennial

We are a not-for-profit organization that will recognize and exhibit the work and ideas of talented professionals in the architecture and urban design field. Our goals are to promote commitment to innovate sustainable design and to help generate and ensure gender equality around the world. To do so we will: Exhibit the work of emerging and renowned architects and urban designers. Provide a platform within which we can consider design creativity. Connect, inform and support the work of design professionals. Encourage training to achieve gender equality for leadership positions within the architectural and urbanism firms and agencies. Coordinate with public and private organizations to empower women in architecture and urbanism. Encourage the use of construction materials and methods to ensure sustainable design. An overarching commitment is to collaborate with others to accomplish five of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations by 2030. Specifically: Goal 4: Equality education. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Goal 5: Gender equality. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy. Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
