About Oasis Church

We exist to glorify God by helping each other find our greatest joy and longing in our Creator. We believe that we have all sinned, but that God so loved the World that He gave His only son, Christ Jesus, to come & take our death penalty on the cross. SO that whoever believes in Christ, and recieves Him as their Lord & Savior, wouldn't need to fear death, for they would be forgiven of their sins and have eternal LIFE (both now and one day when we leave this earth). OASIS CHURCH Exists to bring that message to Amherst, Lynchburg, Nelson, Virginia, and beyond. We believe this is accomplished by following Christ's command to LOVE GOD, to LOVE PEOPLE, and to EMBRACE the world. We gather together weekly to hear the Word of God preached, to encourage one another and pray for one another, we gather in smaller groups (usually in people's homes) for prayer, to be known & to know each other, and to reach our neighbors through Christ's example of radical hospitality. In short, our aim is to Encounter God, to Engage people, and to Embrace the world. (ALL of course, by Gods grace)
