Hi! I'm Jamie, the creator of OB Tie Dye. Since planting roots in San Diego, I’ve been inspired by its laid-back beach vibe, creative energy, and eclectic spirit—which all flow into every piece I make. OB Tie Dye was born in Ocean Beach, fueled by a love for bold color, individuality, and the joy of creating something that can’t be replicated. Each piece is handcrafted using premium Dharma Trading Co. dyes and intuitive color blending, so no two are ever the same. My designs are inspired by San Diego’s everyday beauty—pastel dawn surf skies, golden hour cliffs, and the vibrant characters of OB. Each piece has its own energy and soul, made without templates or assembly lines. Everything is dyed in small batches at my home studio. Many favorites are thrift flips—rescued pieces from local shops reimagined into something new. This keeps good clothing out of landfills while adding to each item’s one-of-a-kind charm. OB Tie Dye is more than just clothing—it’s about self-expression, sustainability, and celebrating the weird, wonderful energy of the local creative scene.
