About Object Recognition Canada
Our first product, DIPS (Displayed Information Protection System) secures information displayed on a computer screen from being photographed with a smart phone camera, or any camera. Many organizations effectively protect confidential information that is located on their network from hacking, being printed or emailed outside of the organization. The big challenge today is protecting the information being displayed on monitors from being captured via a cell phone camera. Once on the phone, it can be emailed or messaged anywhere with no knowledge from the organization. Our solution is proactive in real-time; it can block the photo from being taken in the first place, and it will log the user’s identification and what was on the screen at the time of the possible transgression.
