Expertise Our Four core areas of expertise are Gamedealing, Poultry, Fish and Speciality Fine Foods, including; Cheese, Patisserie and Pastry Ingredients, Chocolate, Fruit Purees, Soft fruits, Artisan Ice Creams & Sorbets, Nuts, Herbs, Spices, Oils & Vinegars. Distribution Our network of Vans covers, Perthshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow, East & West Lothian, Fife, Angus, Aberdeenshire, Stirlingshire and Inverness. We work with third party distributors to cover Oban, The Western Isles, Northern Scotland and Northern Isles. History Our roots are in farming dating back to 1953 when Andrew Dixon, The Pioneer of Turkey Farming in Scotland, and joint founder of The Turkey Federation, started selling his bronze Turkeys to local hotels. During the 1980's intensive farming practises forced us to diversify. In 1988 Neil & Annie Dixon bought a small Trout Farm and renamed our company Ochil Foods, soon local game, cheese, soft fruit and a larger range of fish were added. 2009 saw the third generation of Dixon's join the business full time. Having been involved in the business since he was 8 year old, Jeremy brings not only great knowledge of food but also technological expertise to keep us at the forefront of the industry.
