We are an innovation and transformation agency that helps projects-for-good take form and take flight. The octopus is smart, problem-solving, agile and curious. And so are we. We’re big thinkers who do things differently: our comfort zone is swimming against the tide, not with it. The sheer breadth of experience and expertise from our founders to our associates means we’re well placed to bring original thinking and fresh perspective to every brief. Who are we? Our co-founders are Geoff Rich and Alex Barron. Geoff is an internationally renowned architect known for his commitment to sustainable and socially responsible design, and experience across the cultural heritage sector. Alex is an experienced not-for-profit CEO and Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years across senior roles, including within the education, arts and heritage sectors. Around us, we have a network of associates we’re able to activate when projects require their skills and experience. Who do we help? It’s really simple. We work on good projects with good people. That’s not just charities by the way, as we’re agnostic about structure. What we’re more interested in is authenticity. Are the intentions of those behind the idea genuine? We work with individuals, companies and charities – and they’re all the real deal! Their projects are ambitious, underpinned by social purpose, and importantly, sustainable in the medium to long-term. The golden thread is a desire in our clients to make society better. To deliver projects that act as good citizens rather than vehicles to drive sales or followers.
