About Offensive Security Society (OSS) @ CSUF
OSS offers an entry point into the field of offensive cybersecurity - a proactive and adversarial approach to protecting computer systems, networks, and individuals from attacks. At OSS, you will learn the basic real world skills needed to succeed and become an ethical hacker. Some topics we cover throughout the school year in our weekly workshop meetings include: web injection, cross site scripting, brute forcing, privilege escalation, and much more, including lockpicking. We regularly compete in regional and international competitions that expose us to realistic scenarios while providing a stepping stone into potential career paths. Other activities OSS participates in include vulnerability research, defensive security training, organizing guest speakers to discuss opportunities and research, and promoting student led projects partnered with companies.
